Europe Action Day: Long Eaton 28 July 2018

A good turnout from members on a blustery Saturday morning in Long Eaton Market Place.

Okay, the staunch Brexiters kept away from us (except for a few who hurled insults), but there was plenty of engagement with shoppers and some good conversations, especially with younger residents.

We asked everyone to “vote” on four questions – how well they thought Brexit was going, whether they thought that leaving the EU would be good or bad for jobs and the NHS, and whether the final say on any deal should be subject to a public vote. Well, the figures speak for themselves – interesting that not one person, including those who were firm “Leavers”, thought that Brexit was going well!
